About our Organisation

Baal Prabodhini is a registered organisation functional since 15th June 2009. ‘Moulding the Future Generation’ is the sole vision of this organisation. Guidance given to the students, without including any of the subjects of school syllabus, helps them to know ‘how to study’. Thus this curriculum can be taken in any of the boards like state board, central board, IB, ICSE or CBSE etc. Lot many sources are available to provide knowledge to the students. But no one explains how to grasp this knowledge. Baal Prabodhini tries to do exactly this part. Many provide advice to the students to study, but Baal Prabodhini goes a step ahead and provides guidance about ‘how to study’. This is provided free of cost to the students.

Features about our Organisation:

Our Organisation functions on four levels

1. Fuctioning in the schools: Our curriculum is taken in the school for one whole Academic year for the students of seventh standard. Five basic techniques Planning, Concentration, Listening, Reading and Writing are provided for academic development along with Observation for personality development. The date and time for a session is 30 minutes per week ,is reserved in the school with consent from the Principal.

2. Teacher’s Training: Persons having commitment towards the society and passion to work for the future generation on honorary basis are eligible to participate in the program. There is no compulsion to be a teacher by profession. The pattern for this training program is two days training, two days of demos and a fine tuning session to conclude the program.

3. Organisation of camps: Before the students step out of the secure environment of the school to pursue higher education in college, a camp of two days is organised in the school before the 10th standard academic year starts. Emphasis is on educational and personality development of these students. Such camps are also organised for schools in remote places or villages and orphanages.

4. Educational Association: Students as well as honorary members of various organisations are given guidance by Baal Prabodhini. This benefits students from diverse Economical, Social, and Intellectual backgrounds.

Our Pioneer (Founder)

Shri Chandrakant Thakurdas is the pioneer and founder of Baal Prabodhini. This organisation was formed with a definite view to guide the students and make them understand the correct approach towards studies through learning skills. The main purpose was that the students achieved the zenith in their educational journey. No profit No loss is the principle of this organisation.

Shri Chandrakant Thakurdas was referred as “Bhau” with love and respect. He had done research on human mind for 36 years and had derived on solid conclusion about human mind. Why a human being is not happy even after having all worldly pleasures? The true answers to the above question as well as the remedy was found through years of research. To make this outcome of the research available to people, a class (Vidnyan Prabodhini) was started by Bhau at Raja Shivaji Vidyalay in 1995 for adults, giving them certain set of rules to follow and making them aware of their mistakes. During this experimental phase Bhau came across various states of human mind. The answers found during the research on mind were openly disclosed to people who came for the Prabodhini. The need of guidance would differ with each individual according to his state of mind. But still every person could find remedies which resolved their problems and they were very happy about it. People from all walks of life rich, poor, young old or from any religion or caste came to attend the Prabodhini. The only common thing amongst people who came from various stratas of life was that they were in search for happiness of mind. Shri Bhau realised during this experiment that, the answers and remedies which were found during the research can change a human state of mind (from unhappy to happy state) whatever may be the age.

Further Bhau thought that if this vidnyan is provided to children at young age then we can mould the future of these children. And this young age means adolescence, because adolescents experience rapid physical, cognitive and psychological growth. Hence this is the right age to provide them with good thought provoking ideas which will shape them into good and respectful citizens of our country. Thus Bhau developed innovative and academically based Baal Prabodhini curriculum for adolescent kids based on the research on human mind.

Achievements of Our Organisation

The Principals and school teachers observed remarkable change in their students. Like significant academic progress, positive changes in their behaviour. They also seemed to study on their own implying they were taking interest in their studies. The parents also were content with this course. The most satisfying response is that the students wait impatiently for next Baal Prabodhini session and insist that the teachers should continue this course for the next year too.
